Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Mechanical Dimensional Management Engineer to join the Producibility and Dimensional Management (P&D) section within the CPR department. The role is onsite in Tucson, AZ, with collaboration across Mechanical Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to optimize tolerances and manufacturability while reducing cost.

Responsibilities include GD&T application, tolerance analyses, and leading Dimensional Management activities on programs.

Qualifications

Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 5 years of professional engineering experience.
Experience in the application of GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5).
Demonstrated working knowledge of statistical tolerancing methods (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, Root Sum Squared, MRSS).
Understanding or aptitude of kinematic principals and application to analysis and simulation of imperfect geometry within assemblies.
Experience with CAD modeling (CREO preferred).

Responsibilities

Perform detailed and complex three dimensional tolerance analyses and review one dimensional tolerance analyses.
Work with product teams to develop coordinated datum flow and document via drawings including ICDs.
Apply GD&T on technical data packages.
Coordinate Dimensional Management on programs and support Critical Item initiatives.
Act as a Dimensional Management Lead on programs.
Develop inspection plans for internal and supplier validation.
