Job summary

LA28 in Los Angeles is seeking a Manager, Security Protocol (Dignitary & VIP Protection) to lead protective operations for dignitaries and IPPs during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Reporting to the Senior Director, Public Safety, you will develop CONOPS and coordinate with federal, state, local, international agencies.

You will build protective perimeters, plan motorcades, train teams, and lead Games-time coordination with Protocol.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in dignitary protection, executive protection, protocol security, protective intelligence, or major event security across government, law enforcement, military, or large-scale events.
• Strong understanding of NSSE operations, IPP requirements, protective detail coordination, access control, and multi-agency security frameworks.
• Experience planning motorcade operations, secure arrivals, and transfer points.
• Experience working with federal, state, or local government.
• Ability to develop operational plans and conduct risk assessments under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead liaison with federal, state, local, international, and host-nation agencies on dignitary, VIP, and IPP security operations.
• Develop protective security CONOPS, SOPs, threat assessments, and contingency plans for Olympic and Paralympic Family members and foreign delegations.
• Plan secure arrivals, departures, motorcades, and transfer points across airports, hotels, and venues with transportation, protocol, and law enforcement partners.
• Build protective perimeters, access control, dignitary routes, and emergency procedures into venue operations with design, credentialing, protocol, and security teams.
• Prepare teams and partner agencies through training, tabletop exercises, and rehearsals, then lead Games-time coordination with Protocol.
• Experience working with federal, state, or local government.
