Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in related field.
  • Work hours may extend beyond the regular, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p m. workday, including weekends and holidays to provide immediate support due to system failures on a 24/7 basis.
  • Current and valid Texas driver's license required for offsite travel.
  • Official transcript will be required.
  • Will be subject to a criminal background check. Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analyzing and modeling existing digital engagement processes with the purpose of understanding and documenting current procedures and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Participates in discovery and may conduct surveys to collect and analyze data to determine Dallas College needs.
  • Keeps management and users abreast of revisions to software applications, modifications, and workflow issues.
  • Stays current with industry standards and Dallas College policies by maintaining professional and technical knowledge of best practices through professional development activities and/or other educational opportunities.
  • Researches and evaluates user requirements and enhancements for software applications, tests and documents modifications to application software.
  • Analyzes and documents written specifications for data processing applications including basic system design, programming details, screen formats, user forms, user instructions and program documentation.
  • Create and revise test plans for implementations; participates in system testing and conversion.
  • Adheres to district guidelines and procedures.
  • Performs process mapping; researches and evaluates user requirements and software enhancements foradministrative/educational applications; tests and documents modifications to administrative/ educational application software.
  • Keeps current on technological trends and best practices through professional development activities.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with diverse, internal/external, stakeholders and constituents within the Dallas College community network to enhance physical and digital engagement across the college.
  • Assists users in formulating requirements and advises on alternatives and implications.
  • Assists with the application of patches, installing software, managing the application and database environment, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting alerts.
  • Manages various scheduled and planned projects.
  • Actively listens and responds constructively to stakeholders and/or team member's ideas or concerns regarding projects.
  • Strong attention to detail utilizing interpersonal, oral/written communication and diplomacy skills when interacting with end users and other stakeholders.
  • Provides excellent customer service.
  • Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
