Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a staff position to analyze and model digital engagement processes and build the technical foundation for diverse operations on-site. After six months, some roles may qualify for a hybrid arrangement based on responsibilities and policy.

Academic positions require on-campus presence; this role emphasizes collaboration with end users, data integrity, and effective communication across departments to support system improvements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of software design principles: workflow analysis, data modeling, UI design.
• Knowledge of change management, source control, and revision tracking.
• Ability to solve complex business problems with hardware/software capacity and time constraints.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, reporting and analytics tools, software implementation and support.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and model existing digital engagement processes to document current procedures and identify improvements.
• Participate in discovery and may conduct surveys to determine Dallas College needs.
• Keep management and users informed of revisions to software applications, modifications, and workflow issues.
• Maintain professional/technical knowledge of best practices through development activities.
• Research and evaluate user requirements and enhancements for software applications; test and document modifications.
• Analyze and document data processing specifications including basic system design and forms.
• Create and revise test plans for implementations; participate in system testing and conversion.
• Adhere to district guidelines and procedures.
• Map processes; evaluate user requirements and software enhancements; test and document modifications.
• Stay current on technological trends and best practices through professional development.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders within the Dallas College network to enhance digital engagement.
