Job summary

Dallas College seeks an Analyst I, Cyber Security to monitor and protect its information systems across on-premises and cloud platforms. You will analyze threats, coordinate incident response, and guide remediation actions while maintaining policy compliance and stakeholder communication.

The role requires knowledge of security laws, vulnerability testing, and SIEM/IDS/IPS tooling, with strong collaboration across IT teams and campus units. On-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• Read and understand information security laws/regulations with technical IT experience.
• Ability to perform structured testing of networks, computers, apps, and IT systems to detect vulnerabilities.
• Continuously update knowledge of IT security threats and attacker methods.
• Analyze security data and indicators of compromise; produce reports and assist in incident coordination.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical approaches and roadmaps for security services.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks and cloud infrastructure for security breaches and incidents.
• Operate security tools and respond to events per guidelines to protect assets.
• Investigate threats and coordinate remediation actions.
