Job summary

PDS Optical is seeking a 1st Shift Production Associate for our Louisville, KY lab. This full‑time role runs Monday through Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm, with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour.

The position sits in the Digital Surface Department, handling blocking, generating, polishing, coating, and laser processing of lenses. We welcome candidates with optical lab or mass manufacturing experience, but on‑the‑job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to stand and work on your feet for 8 hours.
• Learn how to run all machines within your designated area.
• Change and install the Filter Tech rolls with a partner, as necessary.
• Address any equipment errors and alarms on the automated surface line.
• Understand the order of the lab production, the Julian Day Number (JND) system and which jobs are HOT or PRIORITY.
• Transport trays for production as needed.
• Clean up your work area and machines during and after your shift.
• Keep workflow going at a steady pace.
