American Interstate Signcrafters is seeking a Digital Signage Solutions & Technology Lead to build and guide digital signage capabilities across multiple locations. You will bridge sales, PM, installation, vendors, and client IT to scope, plan, deploy, and support complex signage projects.

Digital Signage Solutions & Technology Lead

American Interstate Signcrafters is expanding our digital signage and connected visual communications capabilities, and we are looking for an experienced Digital Signage Solutions & Technology Lead to help build and shape this growing area of our business.

This is not a basic technician role. We are looking for a technically strong, hands‑on professional who understands the digital signage and commercial AV ecosystem and can help AIS make smart decisions about what we offer, how we scope projects, which technologies we recommend, and how we build the right team and support structure over time.

The right candidate will help bridge the gap between sales, project management, installation, vendors, manufacturers, client IT teams, and technical execution. This person will support digital signage opportunities from early discovery and scope development through product recommendations, deployment planning, commissioning, troubleshooting, and long‑term support.

This is an opportunity to help build a digital signage department inside an established national signage company.

Key Responsibilities

• Help define AIS’s digital signage capabilities, service offerings, technical standards, and best practices
• Support scope development for digital signage, LED display, commercial display, and connected visual communication projects
• Make product, platform, hardware, and system recommendations based on client needs, site conditions, budget, scalability, and support requirements
• Help determine what AIS should offer internally, what should be supported through partners, and what opportunities may fall outside our current capabilities
• Evaluate digital signage CMS platforms, media players, commercial displays, LED systems, processors, mounting approaches, connectivity needs, and related technologies
• Support technical discovery with internal teams, clients, vendors, manufacturers, and installation partners
• Assist sales and project teams in understanding technical requirements, project risks, hardware needs, network considerations, and deployment complexity
• Help develop repeatable processes for digital signage project intake, estimating support, technical review, installation planning, commissioning, and post‑install support
• Coordinate with client IT teams on network requirements, access, security considerations, device management, and remote support
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, AV signal flow, media player, CMS, display, and LED system issues
• Serve as a technical escalation point for digital signage and AV‑related projects
• Help identify future staffing needs, skill gaps, vendor partnerships, certifications, and training requirements as the department grows
• Support the development of internal documentation, training materials, checklists, and technical standards

Ideal Experience

• Experience in digital signage, AV integration, LED display systems, commercial display technology, AV/IT systems, or technical field support
• Strong understanding of digital signage CMS platforms, media players, device management, remote support tools, and content delivery workflows
• Experience with commercial LCD displays, high‑bright displays, LED display systems, video processors, and related hardware
• Working knowledge of AV signal flow, networking, remote access, and system troubleshooting
• Ability to evaluate technical feasibility, identify project risks, and recommend practical solutions
• Experience supporting commercial, retail, hospitality, healthcare, corporate, multi‑site, or branded environment projects is highly valuable
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a growing capability area where systems, processes, and standards are still being developed
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to balance technical possibilities with operational realities

Highly Valuable Platform Experience

Experience with systems such as BrightSign / BSN.cloud, NovaStar, Absen, Samsung, LG, Q‑SYS, Crestron, Extron, Dante, or similar digital signage, display, LED, AV, and control platforms is highly valuable.

Preferred Certifications

AVIXA CTS, CTS‑I, CTS‑D, DSCE, NovaStar Certified Engineer, Dante Certification, Q‑SYS, Network+, CCNA, or related AV/IT certifications are preferred but not required.

The Digital Signage Solutions & Technology Lead will help AIS understand what is possible, what is practical, what is scalable, and what is supportable as we grow our digital signage department.
