HMH is seeking a Digital Services Engineering Intern in Houston to support AI initiatives, engineering analysis, service-tool development, data analytics and workflow automation. You will collaborate with Product & Technology, engineering, operations, Service Centers, and field teams to improve service performance and lifecycle opportunities.

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, Computational Engineering or Data Science.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Interest in engineering analysis, digital tools, data analytics, automation, AI, or continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

  • Support AI-enabled initiatives, including data preparation and feedback tracking.
  • Provide engineering analysis of service performance, equipment issues, and lifecycle opportunities.
  • Develop and test digital tools, dashboards, analytics, and automated workflows.
  • Collaborate with Product & Technology, engineering, operations, Service Centers, and field teams.

Our environment is based on respect and having a good day at work, so you can expect to join a knowledgeable, global team who help each other to succeed.The Digital Services Engineering Intern will support HMH Services with AI development, engineering analysis, service-tool development, data analytics, and process improvement.The Digital Services Engineering Intern will be responsible for:Support for AI-enabled initiatives, including data preparation, output review, and feedback trackingEngineering analysis of service performance, equipment issues, and lifecycle opportunitiesDevelopment and testing of digital tools, dashboards, analytics, and automated workflowsStructured problem solving, recurring-issue analysis, and service-process improvementCollaboration with Product & Technology, engineering, operations, Service Centers, and field teamsThe Intern also will learn about and deliver the following:Service tools, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled engineering workflowsService performance analysis and improvement prioritizationTechnical documentation, knowledge capture, standards, and Product & Technology feedbackRequirements/Qualifications:Must be currently enrolled at the time internship commences and working toward completion of a Bachelor or Graduate degree from an accredited university or college with Engineering, Computer Science, Computational Engineering, or Data Science majors preferred.Minimum GPA of 3.0.Interest in engineering analysis, industrial services, digital tools, data analytics, automation, AI, or continuous improvement.Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across multiple functions.Ability to work independently or within a larger team as required by the project.Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.Strong work ethic and attention to detail.Other duties as assigned.Additional InformationMust be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, now or in the future, without employer sponsorship for employment visa status.No relocation assistance provided.Internship is 12 weeks, May 24 - August 13, 2027LocationHouston, TX**This position is not open to visa sponsorship**
