Job summary

State of Washington's Department of Labor and Industries (L&I), Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), seeks an Occupational Safety and Health Professional to translate technical knowledge into practical learning that improves Washington workplaces.

You will create digital education, training materials, and outreach resources; translate regulations into plain language; and work with DOSH colleagues to promote safer, healthier workplaces. Flexible schedules and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, or a closely related field.
• Four years of paid occupational/industrial safety experience, or two years as an Occupational Safety and Health Professional 2 in DOSH.
• A valid and unrestricted driver's license.
• Ability to translate complex regulations into plain language for diverse audiences.
• Experience with instructional design and developing engaging learning materials.
