Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in safety/industrial hygiene or equivalent, and a BS in a relevant field.

Qualifications

• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Ability to take action to learn and grow.

• Five years’ experience as a DOSH CISHI or equivalent safety/industrial hygiene experience.
• Five years of safety/industrial hygiene leadership or equivalent experience with an employer.
• Seven years of journey-level occupational safety experience in government, military, public health or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety and health investigations across private and public sectors, including fatalities and high-profile cases.
• Complete inspections and investigation reports with proper classification of violations and penalties.
• Support statewide policy enforcement by coordinating with DOSH Management, AG’s Office and agencies.
• Conduct inspections and provide technical expertise on challenging cases.
• Drive improvements by analyzing data trends and shaping Washington’s worker safety program.
