Job summary

Prisma is seeking a planner in Phoenix to review and process production tickets for digital and split print projects, produce layouts using Metrix, and purchase materials. You will coordinate with production and account managers to keep schedules realistic and on target.

In this role you will also generate revised estimates in Pace MIS, optimize production workflows, and ensure accurate delivery dates while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of on-the-job experience at a print production company, or a Bachelor's degree.
• Solid knowledge of print production machinery and vendor capabilities.
• Strong Excel and general software skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and process production tickets for digital and split print projects.
• Produce layouts for the Prepress department using Metrix software.
• Purchase paper, cutting/foil/embossing dies and outside vendor services.
• Communicate with production managers to plan projects accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate with account managers for issues with schedules, paper availability, or vendors that affect delivery dates.
• Produce revised estimates (P-estimates) for equipment or materials changes in Pace (Estimating training provided).
• Determine the most efficient production methods and revise production notes as needed.
• Obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
