Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, informatics, or related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in pharma research, biotech, informatics, or product-adjacent role.
  • Hands-on experience using or administering Benchling and integrating it with secondary applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, refine, and translate user requirements into structured system designs.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead workshops and partner effectively with scientific and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with scientific teams to understand software-related use cases and collaborate with software developers.
  • Capture user requirements and present them for manager review and approval.
  • Lead requirements gathering and design workshops, translating workflows into data models and release docs.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog balancing science, value, and constraints.
  • Analyze end-to-end business data processes from ordering systems to RNA/DNA production workflows.
  • Define and enforce platform standards, data models, and best practices for reuse across teams.
  • Define and drive integration strategies for seamless data flow between internal systems.
  • Collaborate with developers to hand off requirements and drive demos and training materials.
  • Develop test plans, guide UAT, and create user training and onboarding docs.
  • Provide user support during rollout and monitor adoption and data quality.
