Job summary

Moderna seeks a Product Manager to partner with Research and Technical Development scientists, translating scientific workflows into scalable, release-ready Benchling-based applications and AI-enabled tools. You will own end-to-end delivery with software developers, aligning with data strategy and platform standards.

The role balances deep scientific engagement with disciplined system design, guiding data models, release docs, and training materials while supporting adoption across Moderna

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a life sciences, informatics, or related discipline.
• 5–7 years in pharmaceutical research, biotech, informatics, or product-adjacent role.
• Hands-on experience using or administering Benchling and integrating with secondary apps.
• Ability to gather, refine, and translate user requirements into structured system designs.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills for workshops with scientific/technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with scientific teams to understand software use cases and support business needs.
• Capture requirements and present for review, balancing team needs with platform standards.
• Lead requirements workshops translating workflows into data models and user stories.
• Manage product backlog to balance scientific needs, value, and technical constraints.
• Define integration strategies for seamless data flow across internal systems.
• Collaborate with developers to hand off requirements and drive iterative refinement.
• Develop test plans, guide UAT, and create training materials.
• Provide user support during rollout and early adoption.
• Establish and track product success metrics like adoption and data quality.
