Job Overview:

The Digital Press Operator is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating digital printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely production while maintaining strict quality standards.

Shift Details:

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

What You'll Do:

• Configure and operate digital printing press equipment, ensuring readiness for production tasks.
• Read and interpret instructions from the job jacket, ensuring proper setup of printing jobs.
• Manage and execute the printing of documents, including setup and formatting, to achieve optimum print quality.
• Understand the capabilities of the printing machine to maximize print quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine printing procedures, requiring quality inspection, adherence to procedures, visual discrimination, and analytical judgment.
• Stock machines with necessary materials and manage inventory levels.
• Troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on printing equipment as required.
• Ensure that scheduled deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Continually inspect printed jobs for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Adhere to all safety and work rule regulations.
• Take on additional duties as needed to support the printing team.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in printing operations is required, with hands-on exposure to digital printing equipment.
• Experience operating digital presses such as Ricoh, HP Indigo, or Canon strongly preferred.
  
• Proficient computer skills, particularly in file-to-print processes.
• Technical and mechanical aptitude, with relevant experience in printing or production.
• Experience with color printing, preferably in a 4-color process setting.
• Quality-focused mindset with the ability to identify and address quality-related issues.
• Strong communication skills, capable of effective written and verbal expression.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Flexible and adaptable, ready to meet the challenges of varying daily production needs.
• Customer-oriented attitude with a proactive "can do" approach.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods, handling materials as needed.
