Job summary

Kofile is seeking a Preservation Technician in Dallas to convert physical documents into digital formats using advanced equipment. Training is provided to set you up for a growing career in document imaging.

Essential duties include preparing documents, de-stapling, maintaining page order, ensuring image quality, and proper naming and auditing of digital files within a production-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with document imaging, & scanning (Opex, Kodak Fujitsu, Widetek Zuetschel, or Bookeye highly desired)
• Experience with data entry (10-key) desired
• Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with Psicapture, Scan2net, Scanallpro, Netsuite, Paylocity and Teams highly desired
• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months work experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to sit and focus for hours at a time (ear buds allowed)
• Ability to identify a "road block" before it happens
• Ability to achieve daily goals for both quantity and quality - production environment
• Reliable transportation/attendance

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents to be scanned
• Unfold, de-staple, remove brads or fasteners
• Keep documents in order with leading edge consistent
• Make copies of items that cannot be scanned
• Obtain images for use throughout operation
• Ensure images are 100% usable by adjusting settings for clarity
• Name images according to provided format and certify naming correctness
• Audit digital files for JPG compression, numerical order, and target dpi
