Job summary

i-Pharm Consulting seeks a Digital Plant Engineer for a major greenfield pharma project in Indiana. You''ll bridge manufacturing processes, automation systems and digital platforms to meet GMP and validation standards.

This is a 12-month contract with potential extensions. Responsibilities include data architecture, DCS integration, MES interfaces, AVEVA PI, LogMate, and cross-functional collaboration across Automation, Process Engineering and Operations.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical API/bulk manufacturing.
• Strong automation and OT background, including DCS engineering and batch manufacturing.
• Previous delivery experience on large pharmaceutical automation projects.
• Experience with DeltaV Batch DCS.
• Strong understanding of GMP and computer-system-validation principles.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• MES and AVEVA PI experience preferred.

• Lead data-flow mapping and translate manufacturing needs into digital requirements.
• Support automation-to-MES integration, historian delivery and PAT platforms.

• Ensure alignment with GMP, data-integrity and computer-system-validation requirements.

Contract: Initial 12-month contract, with potential extensions subject to performance

Onsite Requirements: A minimum of two weeks per month for the first six months, reducing to a minimum of one week per month thereafter

We’re recruiting a Digital Plant Engineer to support a major greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing project in Indiana, covering small molecules, biologics and nucleic acid therapies.

Embedded within the Automation Project Team, you’ll connect manufacturing processes, automation systems and digital platforms, ensuring solutions meet operational, facility and regulatory requirements.
