Job summary

IAPMO is seeking a Digital Plant Engineer for a major greenfield pharmaceutical project in Indiana. The role centers on connecting manufacturing processes, automation systems, and digital platforms to meet regulatory and facility needs.

Embedded in the Automation Project Team, you will drive data architecture, MES integration, and AVEVA PI/LogMate implementations to support GMP-compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical API/bulk manufacturing.
• Strong automation and OT background, including DCS engineering and batch manufacturing.
• Previous delivery experience on large pharmaceutical automation projects.
• Experience with DeltaV Batch DCS.
• Strong understanding of GMP and computer-system-validation principles.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• MES and AVEVA PI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Digital Plant strategy, use cases and data architecture.
• Lead data-flow mapping and translate manufacturing needs into digital requirements.
• Support automation-to-MES integration, historian delivery and PAT platforms.
• Contribute to site data infrastructure, including AVEVA PI and LogMate.
• Work across Automation, Process Engineering, Operations and IT to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure alignment with GMP, data-integrity and computer-system-validation requirements.
