Job summary

United Pharma seeks an experienced IT/OT Digital Plant Engineer to drive digital transformation in a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role will bridge Operations, Process Engineering, Automation/OT, IT and Digital teams to deliver scalable automation and digital solutions.

The position requires 7+ years in API/bulk manufacturing with strong OT/DCS expertise (DeltaV) and knowledge of GMP, data integrity and CSV principles.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in API and/or bulk pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong background in industrial automation, OT operations, and DCS engineering.
• Experience with Emerson DeltaV Batch DCS is required.
• Familiarity with GMP, data integrity, CSV principles, and pharmaceutical regulations.

We are seeking an experienced IT/OT Digital Plant Engineer to support digital transformation and automation initiatives within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role will bridge Operations, Process Engineering, Automation/OT, IT, and Digital teams to deliver scalable automation and digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and deliver large-scale industrial automation and digital plant projects within pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Develop and implement solutions using DCS, batch automation, data, and digital technologies.
• Translate manufacturing and operational requirements into effective automation and digital solutions.
• Lead or support Emerson DeltaV Batch DCS engineering and automation activities.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Process Engineering, Automation/OT, IT, and Digital teams.
• Support integration and implementation of MES and AVEVA PI/PI System solutions.
• Ensure systems and solutions comply with GMP, pharmaceutical regulations, data integrity, and CSV requirements.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in API and/or bulk pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong background in industrial automation, OT operations, and DCS engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV Batch DCS.
• Proven experience delivering automation projects in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience working in batch manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of GMP, data integrity, pharmaceutical regulations, and CSV principles.
• Experience with MES and AVEVA PI/PI System is preferred.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
