Job summary

APEN is seeking a Digital Organizer to lead digital communications, infrastructure, and organizer support. You will create compelling content, maintain digital assets, and train organizers in digital practices, while contributing to planning and coordination within the Communications team.

The role is hybrid, requires some evenings/weekends and travel within California, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Commitment to the mission and principles of APEN and environmental justice.
Strong quantitative and qualitative reasoning.
Fast learner.
Compelling writer with experience motivating action.
Working knowledge of mass email, social media, and digital organizing best practices.
Basic graphic design skills – Canva or Adobe products.
Intermediate Excel skills.
Experience with CRMs such as Action Network, Action Builder, Salesforce, Salsa, EveryAction, CiviCRM or similar.

Responsibilities

Create digital content (emails, texts, social media, SMS) to mobilize APEN supporters.
Maintain and improve APEN’s website and digital assets; manage content storage and canva assets.
Support organizers with digital organizing best practices and advanced content tasks.
Contribute to organizational planning, budgeting, and cross-team coordination; support volunteers and interns.
