Job summary

PowerSwitch Action is seeking an experienced communications strategist to drive transformative campaigns and advance multiracial feminist democracy. As Communications Manager, you’ll partner with local affiliates on organizing, policy, and corporate campaigns, lead our digital strategy, grow audiences, explain complex issues, and lift up community stories to inspire action across the country.

Qualifications

• Experience writing press releases, speeches, or op-eds for campaigns or advocacy.
• Proven ability to manage social media accounts and field communications.
• On-the-record communications experience with public stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead communications for 1-2 major campaigns or programs at a time.
• Collaborate with campaigners, affiliates, and partners to craft strategy and execute work.
• Write messaging, talking points, op-eds, press releases, emails, and social content.
• Support local communicators with earned media and spokesperson preparation.
• Advise and build capacity of affiliates and allies through campaign communications.
