Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) invites talented students to join a 13-week summer internship across Application Development, IT Operations and Project Management in the Digital Modernization group.

Interns will gain hands-on experience by building dashboards, automating workflows, and supporting public safety IT while rotating through departments such as operations, engineering and information technology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required and must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Intern must have completed freshman year and be entering sophomore year.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in compiling, reviewing and analyzing data for reports.
• Support in creating presentations, reports and data visualizations.
• Participate in training sessions and department meetings to gain exposure to transit functions.
