Job summary

J. Gibson McIlvain in White Marsh, MD is seeking a hands-on Digital Marketing Manager to own day-to-day digital operations and content production for our lumber and millwork products.

The role blends WordPress management, SEO, and creative execution in Adobe CC with collaboration across sales and product teams. You’ll plan campaigns, optimize the website, build email programs, and produce print-ready collateral, while staying onsite in an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• WordPress site administration and content publishing.
• Practical SEO knowledge (on-page + basic technical) and familiarity with Google Search Console & GA4.
• Email marketing experience with list management, segmentation, and campaign reporting.
• Adobe Creative Cloud tools for producing collateral (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Strong writing/editing for web and email content.
• Onsite work in an industrial/lumber environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update WordPress site (content updates, plugin/theme maintenance, basic HTML/CSS where needed).
• Own on-page SEO: metadata, schema, internal linking, image optimization, and content performance tracking.
• Run regular technical SEO checks and implement fixes.
• Plan and execute content updates for product pages, case studies, and learning resources.
• Build and send email campaigns; manage audience segments and list hygiene.
• Set up A/B tests and report performance metrics.
• Create/refresh sales sheets, spec sheets, installation guides, event graphics, and social assets in Adobe CC.
• Ensure brand consistency across digital and print; prepare files for vendor-ready production.
• Measure and report KPIs across web, search, and email; translate insights into backlog.
• Create dashboards for stakeholders; document experiments and learnings.
• Partner with sales, product/finished goods, and millwork teams to gather inputs and visuals.
• Support event/trade show prep with signage and follow-up campaigns.
