Job summary

CORNERSTONES INC is seeking a Computer Technology Program Instructor to advance digital equity at a community center in Herndon/Reston, VA. The role delivers digital literacy and workforce readiness to youth and adults.

Under supervision, you will develop lesson plans, coach individuals, manage instructional technology, track attendance, and collaborate with staff and partners to expand access to technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, IT, social work, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years teaching, coaching, or instructional support in community settings.
• Proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and virtual learning platforms.
• Bilingual in Spanish or Arabic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver digital literacy, workforce readiness, and enrichment classes for adults and youth.
• Provide one-on-one coaching to help participants gain confidence using digital tools.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans and materials to participant needs and learning styles.
• Assist with curriculum development and program evaluation.
• Conduct outreach and assist with participant registration and retention.
• Maintain a welcoming, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Model effective classroom facilitation and engagement with students and families.
• Set up and troubleshoot technology used in instruction.
• Track attendance, document outcomes, and assist with reporting.
• Collaborate with staff and community partners to support program goals.
