Job summary

Cornerstones seeks a Computer Technology Program Instructor to deliver digital literacy and workforce readiness at a community center in Herndon/Reston, VA. The role includes coaching participants, adapting materials to diverse learning needs, and collaborating with site staff to support holistic community programs.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in education or related field or equivalent experience, with experience in community settings and availability for some evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required for community education and workforce readiness roles.
• Experience teaching or coaching in community-based settings is preferred.
• Availability for some evenings and occasional weekends to support programming.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver digital literacy, workforce readiness, and enrichment classes for adults and youth.
• Provide one-on-one coaching to help participants gain confidence using digital tools.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans and materials to participant needs and learning styles.
• Assist with curriculum development and ongoing program evaluation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in education, information technology, social work, or related field – or equivalent experience
