Job summary

Matteson Area Public Library District is seeking a Digital Librarian to develop and implement emerging library technologies to support learning and research. You will administer the library’s online suite of reference services and tools.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s Degree in Library Science (ALA-accredited) or a computer-related equivalent, and demonstrates strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills. Evening and weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• MLS required or computer-related equivalent with emphasis on digital collections, services, and systems.
• Candidates must be highly organized and able to work both in a team and independently.
• Excellent oral and written skills and superior customer service attitude are required.
