Job summary

RTX in Huntsville is seeking current college students to collaborate with our engineers on digital electronic circuits for missile guidance, video, and DSP applications. The role spans requirements derivation, circuit card design, ECAD coordination, and PWB layout tasks in a fast-moving program environment.

You will contribute to high-speed digital electronics, configurable logic, and multiprocessor designs, gaining hands-on experience from proposal through production within the Effector

Responsibilities

• Developing unit and module level requirements derived from system level requirements.
• Circuit card design including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, DDR memory, and industry interfaces, such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.
• Performing analysis and testing of the FPGA, circuit card, module, and/or unit in a laboratory setting
• Guiding Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout and technical drawing creation.
• Performing design work within the bounds of a given schedule, and sometimes defining the schedule.
• Presenting reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff and guiding junior engineers in honing this skill.
• Design, review, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and/or CCAs for Missile applications.
• Generate Printed Wiring Board (PWB) layout constraint guidelines, oversee the layout and fabrication of the design.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM degree
