Job summary

RTX is seeking a design-focused engineer in Huntsville, AL for an onsite position in the Effector Subsystem Products Department. You will help develop digital electronics hardware for missile applications, including circuit card design, FPGA work, memory interfaces, and ECAD coordination.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering and have coursework or experience in circuit design, PCB design, and signal integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Experience or coursework in circuit design, digital electronics, PCB design and signal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Developing unit and module level requirements derived from system level requirements.
• Circuit card design including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, DDR memory, and interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Performing analysis and testing of FPGA, circuit card, module, and/or unit in a lab setting.
• Guiding ECAD personnel through PWB layout and technical drawing creation.
• Performing design work within a given schedule or defining the schedule.
• Presenting reviews of technical data to leadership and mentoring junior engineers.
• Design, review, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules/CCAs for missile applications.
