Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a qualified engineer in Huntsville, AL to contribute to the Effector Subsystem Products Department. You will design digital circuits, develop hardware with processors and FPGAs, and work on high-speed interfaces like PCIe and Ethernet in a defense environment.

You will collaborate with engineers to analyze, test, and validate designs, and you must be prepared to pursue a DoD Secret clearance after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Experience or coursework in circuit design, digital electronics, PCB design and signal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Developing unit and module level requirements derived from system level requirements.
• Circuit card design including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, DDR memory, and interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Performing analysis and testing of FPGA, circuit card, module, and/or unit in a laboratory setting.
• Guiding ECAD personnel through PWB layout and technical drawing creation.
• Presenting reviews of technical data to program leadership and staff.
