Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker to engage customers across in-person, appointment, and digital channels.

The role focuses on building trust, identifying customers’ banking needs, and offering suitable deposit and loan solutions while maintaining a digital-first mindset. Responsibilities include opening accounts, processing requests, and educating clients on self-service digital tools, with a strong emphasis on customer service and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
• Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
• Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
• Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services
• Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
• Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions
• Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
• Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital first mindset
• Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer’s needs both reactively and proactively

Responsibilities

• Builds and fosters relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up, asking questions and learning about their financial needs
• Opens new consumer and business accounts, completes service requests and submits credit applications
• Proactively educates clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services to assist with meeting their financial needs
• Leverages resources to optimize the client experience and maintain operational excellence and accuracy
