Job summary

Lead For America seeks ACC AmeriCorps members to help bridge the digital divide in Western NC. Members assist staff with device refurbishment, distribution, and digital literacy sessions, while gaining hands‑on experience in service delivery and community outreach.

Service runs December 7, 2026 to August 13, 2027, full‑time approx. 40 hours per week, with a $23,300 living stipend and Segal Education Award. Fully‑funded Winter Institute and health benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 17 years of age or older by start of service.
• Have not already served four AmeriCorps terms.

Responsibilities

• Community Outreach: assist with staff‑led outreach and raise awareness of digital equity.
• Device Refurbishment: assist with device refurbishment programs.
• Digital Literacy: support literacy training sessions, one‑on‑one and group.
• Data Collection and Reporting: collect and summarize program progress and challenges.
