Zusammenfassung

The American Connection Corps (ACC), an AmeriCorps program of Lead For America (LFA), partners with the Southwestern Commission to expand digital inclusion in Western North Carolina. The Digital Navigator provides individualized tech assistance, delivers digital literacy workshops, and conducts outreach to older adults, underserved communities, and job seekers.

This full-time term runs December 7, 2026 to August 13, 2027.

Qualifikationen

• U.S. citizenship, national, or lawful permanent resident
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 17 years of age or older by start of service
• Not previously served four AmeriCorps terms

Aufgaben

• Provide one-on-one digital literacy assistance to community members, focusing on older adults and underserved populations.
• Develop and deliver digital literacy workshops covering smartphone/computer basics, email, internet navigation, safety, and online services.
• Assist in outreach with senior centers, libraries, and workforce organizations to expand access to digital literacy resources.
• Support program development, scheduling, and distribution of digital devices to participants.
• Collect and report on participant progress and program outcomes to meet performance measures.
