Job summary

The American Connection Corps (ACC), an AmeriCorps program of Lead For America (LFA), is seeking an AmeriCorps Member to support Through the Trees in WNC. You will assist with device refurbishment, distribution, and digital literacy sessions to bridge the digital divide and expand opportunity in the region.

This full-time, year-long service year includes structured training, a Winter Institute, and ongoing mentoring.

Qualifications

Be a U.S. Citizen, National, or Lawful Permanent Resident.
Hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Be 17 years of age or older by the start of service.
Have not already served four AmeriCorps State/National terms.

Responsibilities

Community Outreach: Assist with staff-led outreach efforts with regional communities to raise awareness about digital equity programs and resources.
Device Procurement: Support staff-led efforts to identify and coordinate in-kind device donations and assist with related community outreach under staff direction and supervision.
Device Refurbishment: Assist staff with the device refurbishment program and learn technical aspects of the process through hands-on service activities.
Digital Literacy: Assist staff with digital literacy training sessions, both one-on-one and group.
Data Collection and Reporting: Collect service-related data and compile summaries that highlight program progress, challenges, and successes for staff review.
