Job summary

Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center (BCNC) seeks a Digital Navigator to strengthen immigrant adults through English language and essential digital skills training. You will lead a digital equity project, adapt curricula, and deliver in-person courses while supporting learners’ navigation of online services and job applications.

Work with multilingual outreach, collaborate with the Curriculum & Instructional Specialist, and report to the Adult Education team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field; equivalent experience considered.
At least two years of digital literacy or adult education experience preferred.
Ability to teach adults with varying English proficiency levels using patient, hands-on methods.
Proficiency with Chromebooks, Google Workspace, online forms; familiarity with Northstar is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead implementation of the Organization’s Digital Equity Fund project for immigrant adults with limited English proficiency.
Develop and adapt digital literacy curriculum for ESOL learners using Tech Goes Home resources and AI tools.
Plan and teach three in-person, eight-week courses: Foundational, Basic, and Intermediate Computer Skills (≈9 hours/week).
Provide ~3 hours/week of open-lab digital navigation and individualized support (devices, internet, emails, forms, job apps).
Recruit participants through organization programs and community outreach in Chinatown and nearby communities.
Coordinate day-to-day classroom support with bilingual assistants and provide lesson prep, assignments, feedback.
Administer intake, attendance tracking, pre/post-surveys, and documentation of outcomes.
Maintain an organized computer lab, troubleshoot devices, track inventory, and assist with end-of-project tasks.
