Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center (BCNC) is seeking a Bilingual Class Assistant to support immigrant adults in learning essential computer skills. You will assist in bilingual classes, provide language‑accessible explanations, and help learners gain confidence with Chromebooks, Google Workspace, and online tools.

The role emphasizes patient instruction, cultural responsiveness, and collaboration with the Digital Navigator to track attendance and learning progress.

• Ability to explain technology skills clearly to adult learners with varying English levels.
• Reliable, organized, and able to follow lesson plans and privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Digital Navigator during bilingual computer skills classes.
• Provide language‑accessible explanations in English and at least one additional language.
• Assist with classroom setup, login support, and basic troubleshooting.
• Help participants practice computer skills using Chromebooks, email, and web tools.
• Encourage engagement and maintain a patient, respectful learning environment.
• Support attendance, surveys, assessments, and documentation of questions or needs.
• Communicate participant needs and issues to the Digital Navigator.
