Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Digital Engineering Manager 3 in Morrisville, NC to lead the Digital Hardware section of the Electrical Engineering and Receiver Exciter Department. The role directs 40–100 staff, including senior technical personnel, to implement the department’s vision and drive program success.

The position requires an active US Government Secret clearance, strong leadership and collaboration skills, and experience in radar, EW, or sensor systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a technical field with extensive experience
• Active US Government Secret Security Clearance required
• 5+ years leading design, verification, and integration of radar, EW, or sensor systems

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Digital Hardware strategy and roadmaps
• Oversee the Digital Hardware section with 40–100 staff including senior technical personnel
• Collaborate with business division counterparts to coordinate staffing and program support
• Provide direct program work (60%+ time) including IPT leadership or engineering leadership
• Hire, train, and supervise front line managers; manage workload forecasting and staffing
• Lead compensation planning, performance reviews and employee development
