Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Principal/Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer in Maryland. The role blends hardware and software, with hands-on troubleshooting of complex electronic systems and experience with DC, analog, digital or RF test & measurement equipment.

Will work to define and deliver integrated hardware/software solutions. The position requires DoD Secret clearance and may be filled at T3 or T4 level depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years’ experience, Master's with 3 years, Ph.D. with 0 years (4 years can substitute for a degree).
• US Citizenship required and ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics and block diagrams.
• Mix of hardware and software skills; text-based programming (C/C++).
• Experience with RF, digital or power theory and concepts; test & measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Understand design to cost, scope, and schedule.
• Define requirements for hardware and software test solutions.
• Design flexible hardware & software test solutions with a team.
• Support manufacturing during hardware builds.
• Integrate hardware and software into functioning systems.
• Certify with Quality organization.
• Deploy systems and provide factory support.
• Maintain software or refresh hardware.
