Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience or a PhD with 4 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • U.S Citizenship is required
  • An active US Government Secret Security Clearance
  • 5+ years of experience with design, verification and integration & test of technology products for radar, electronic warfare, or related sensor systems
  • 3+ years of prior experience in people leadership
  • Experience leading large groups in a functional, programmatic, or technical capacity
  • IPT Lead or Technical Lead experience on DoD or related programs
  • 3+ years prior functional management experience
  • Experience with High‑speed Digital Hardware and/or Processor Hardware
  • Experience with real‑time embedded systems development and test
  • Experience with firmware / FPGA development
  • Product Management Experience
  • Top Secret clearance and/or SCI with CI or FS polygraph
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
  • Advanced degree in technical discipline

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Digital Hardware section of the Electrical Engineering and Receiver Exciter Department
  • Provide engineering leadership on programs
  • Supervise 40–100 employees including group managers and senior technical staff
  • Develop and maintain the Digital Hardware strategy and roadmaps
  • Champion disciplined engineering processes and continuous improvement
  • Hire, train, mentor, and supervise frontline managers
  • Support proposal activities including technical/management volumes and BOE
  • Oversee workload forecasting and engineering talent development
  • Manage performance reviews, compensation planning, and recognition
  • Collaborate with peer managers and business divisions on staffing and program support

Job description

  • Manage the Digital Hardware section of the Electrical Engineering and Receiver Exciter Department
  • Provide engineering leadership on programs
  • Lead a section of 40–100 employees with direct supervision of group managers and senior technical staff
  • Implement department vision and lead initiatives to achieve objectives
  • Collaborate with peer section managers and business division counterparts on staffing and program support
  • Perform direct-charge program work for approximately 60% or more of time and charge
  • Provide technical work, IPT leadership, consulting, proposal support, and engineering leadership or support
  • Lead section staff according to organizational goals, business objectives, and company policies
  • Develop and maintain the Digital Hardware strategy
  • Oversee Digital Hardware technology roadmaps
  • Champion disciplined engineering processes and improvement
  • Lead programs and engineering teams to achieve engineering objectives and milestones
  • Support proposal activities, including technical/management volume development and BOE development/defense
  • Support skill and career development, continuous improvement, and growth initiatives
  • Hire, train, mentor, and supervise frontline managers
  • Manage workload forecasting and develop engineering talent
  • Provide engineering staffing to programs
  • Manage indirect charging of section staff
  • Prepare, manage, and conduct performance reviews
  • Lead compensation planning, promotion evaluations, and employee recognition activities
Requirements
