Job summary

Barts Electric is seeking an Electrical Learning Developer to help build the future of electrical education. This role blends hands-on electrical knowledge with technology, digital content, design, video, AI, and creative problem-solving.

You'll work with electricians, SMEs, instructors, and curriculum developers to turn knowledge into engaging training materials, including interactive lessons, case studies, graphics, and assessments.

Qualifications

  • Experience or education in the electrical trade (1–2 years ideal).
  • Familiarity with electrical tools, materials, terminology, and installation practices.
  • Strong interest in computers and technology.
  • Willingness to learn new software.
  • Creative problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication; teaching or content creation interest.
  • Desire to continue learning the electrical trade.

Responsibilities

  • Build interactive electrical training and digital learning experiences.
  • Create presentations, case studies, assessments, graphics, diagrams, videos, and other training content.
  • Work with experienced electricians and subject matter experts to capture their knowledge and turn it into effective training.
  • Research electrical concepts, equipment, installation methods, and NEC requirements.
  • Use established templates and processes to develop apprenticeship and technical training.
  • Capture and edit photographs and videos of electrical installations, tools, equipment, and demonstrations.
  • Help create real-world scenarios based on situations electricians encounter in the field.
  • Assist with Journeyman exam preparation, electrical code, safety, theory, and installation training.
  • Learn and use eLearning development software, multimedia tools, AI, and emerging learning technologies.
  • Review and improve existing curriculum based on apprentice, instructor, and SME feedback.
  • Participate in field visits to capture real-world examples and continue developing electrical knowledge.
  • Help explore new ways technology can improve how electricians learn.
