Job summary

Lear Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design, panel layout, BOM creation, and collaboration with program managers and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions. You'll develop drawings, support manufacture, and travel up to 20% to customer sites, bringing knowledge of electrical circuits, PLC programming, CAD/CAM, and industry standards to the team.

Qualifications

Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
At least 3 years in a design role at an automation/machine shop.
Knowledge of electrical circuits and PLC programming.
Able to travel up to 20% to customer sites.
Strong communication and collaboration in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Work closely with Project Managers, Controls Engineers, the manufacturing team, and customers to develop systems and complete projects.
Provide electrical design along with drawing creation while under minimal technical supervision.
Prepare drawing packages for manufacture and assembly, ensuring they are complete and accurate.
Collaborate with shop members prior to and during the build.
Deliberates with Controls engineers to design for integration and select pneumatic components.
Develop Electrical designs to solve production plant issues.
Develop predictive maintenance indicators to increase reliability and reduce downtime.
Supports legacy Electrical designs.
