Job summary

GP Strategies Corporation seeks an Electrical Instructor to deliver hands-on training to clients in heavy manufacturing environments. You will travel extensively to conduct on-site courses, develop customized materials, and ensure complete documentation for each session.

The role requires strong teaching ability, extensive industrial electrical experience, and expertise across motors, PLCs, VFDs, NEC safety standards, and arc flash practices. Travel up to 100% with expenses paid.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong teaching ability and industrial electrical experience in essential areas listed below.
  • Experience with arc flash/NFPA 70E standards and with PLCs; RSLogix preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with motors, motor controls, transformers and VFDs.
  • Familiarity with NEC requirements and safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging electrical courses to industrial clients nationwide.
  • Develop custom electrical courseware to meet client-specific needs.
  • Complete and submit course documentation accurately and on time.
  • Arrange and manage travel for on-site training assignments (all expenses paid).

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Strong teaching ability and industrial electrical experience in:
    • Basic Electricity & Electrical Safety

    • Motors (DC, Three Phase, Single Phase)

  • Former Navy Nukes highly preferred‑technical excellence and adaptability are key.
  • Ability to lift and work in hands‑on environments.
  • Comfortable with heavy travel (up to 100%), with all expenses and per diem covered.
