SkyTeam Airline Alliance Management Cooperatie U.A. is seeking an IT Delivery Manager to ensure planning, delivery, and operation of SkyTeam products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record in IT Delivery Management, IT Project Management, or Agile Delivery Lead roles in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Translate product roadmap into concrete delivery plans with on-time, on-scope, on-budget milestones.
• Support product development team, facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove blockers, manage workload.
• Assist PO with prioritization, dependency mapping, and trade-offs between features, tech debt, and fixes.
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party IT providers to meet SLAs and delivery milestones.
• Plan and orchestrate releases across product teams, vendors, and member IT systems.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation and corrective actions.
• Engage member airlines with releases, roadmaps, and incident resolution, driving adoption.
• Provide status reports and dashboards to executives and steering committees.

Job description

Purpose of the job

The IT Delivery Manager ensures that SkyTeam products and changes are planned, delivered, and run smoothly, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This hybrid role balances hands-on delivery inside the product team (supporting the PO, managing sprint and release schedules, tracking budget, and keeping members informed) with alliance-wide IT delivery governance (vendor coordination, release management, operational stability, and adoption).

The role requires an exceptional communicator and organizer who can navigate a complex, multicultural stakeholder landscape—including member airlines, technical teams, business leaders, and external vendors—turning strategic roadmaps into predictable, high-value delivery.

KEY RESULT AREAS / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Product Team Support & Roadmap Execution (Embedded Role)

• Roadmap & Plan Delivery: Partner closely with the Product Owner to translate the product roadmap into concrete, realistic delivery plans; ensure milestones are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Team Coordination & Delivery Rhythm: Support the day-to-day management of the product development team, facilitating Agile ceremonies where needed, removing blockers, and managing workload and resource capacity.
• Backlog & Prioritization Support: Assist the PO with operational prioritization, dependency mapping, and trade-off decisions between new features, tech debt, and operational fixes.

2. IT Delivery, Vendor & Operations Management

• Vendor & Partner Management: Coordinate closely with technical vendors (TCS/DTH) and third-party IT providers to ensure agreed SLAs, quality standards, and delivery milestones are met.
• End-to-End Release Coordination: Plan, align, and orchestrate technical releases across product teams, vendors, and member airlines’ IT systems.
• Risk & Issue Governance: Proactively identify technical, delivery, or operational risks; implement robust mitigation and corrective action plans.
• Service Stability & Lifecycle: Ensure services transition smoothly from build to run, maintaining high standards of governance, documentation, and operational monitoring.

3. Member Airline Engagement & Stakeholder Communication

• Operational Liaison for Member Airlines: Serve as the primary, trusted operational point of contact for member airlines regarding product releases, roadmaps, technical changes, and incident resolution.
• Adoption & Onboarding: Support member airlines during rollout and implementation, driving high adoption of SkyTeam solutions across the alliance.
• Feedback Loop: Gather operational and technical feedback from airline expert champions and channel insights directly back into the PO’s backlog for continuous improvement.
• Transparent Reporting: Provide clear, structured status reports and dashboards (progress, budget, risks, adoption metrics) to the Director Common Services, SAAM steering committees, and member airlines.

Your profile

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record (several years) in IT Delivery Management, IT Project Management, or Agile Delivery Lead roles within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

• Previous experience in IT services for the airline / aviation industry is required.
• Strong understanding of airline IT systems, customer journeys, DCS (Departure Control Systems), and airline industry data/baggage standards is a strong asset.

Methodologies & Core Competencies

• Agile & Project Governance: Solid experience combining Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) with structured project governance (budget tracking, milestone reporting, dependency management).
• Exceptional Time & Priority Management: Demonstrated ability to juggle dual responsibilities (transversal operations vs. focused product team delivery), reprioritize quickly under pressure, and manage competing deadlines.
• Outstanding Stakeholder Communication: Ability to communicate with clarity, diplomacy, and impact across diverse audiences—from technical developers and POs to senior airline executives and multicultural working groups.
• Solution-Oriented & Hands-On: Proactive mindset with a "can-do" attitude; skilled at anticipating bottlenecks and driving pragmatic problem resolution.

Languages & Location

• Languages: Excellent professional written and spoken English is essential (the working language of SkyTeam); Dutch is an advantage.
• Location: Based in the Netherlands or available to be regularly on-site at SkyTeam offices.
