What You'll Do:

Our Business Development Team is at the heart of our relationships with clients, ensuring we build and maintain strong connections with Strategic Airlines and Freight Forwarders. As a team, we're responsible for owning customer success and satisfaction - from identifying opportunities for account expansion to supporting and leading deal negotiations and closings. We're continuously gaining industry insights by building close relationships with our end customers, ensuring their needs align with Skycell's offering and allowing us to convert opportunities into won business.

In this role you will:

  • Leads the implementation and negotiation of new or updated strategic partner master lease agreements within the region
  • Collaborates with partner organizations and internal departments to monitor shipments and support operational execution
  • Assist the operational sub-team with tasks such as airline lease customs setup
  • Supports airlines with day-to-day questions.
  • Support customer solution engineering activities of the sales departments
  • Collaborate with the pricing team to ensure competitive offering (This can mean feedback from the airlines as well on rate levels, support pricing with per kg info for business cases, general MLA rates etc.)
  • Works with the pricing and operations department to achieve cost reductions in logistics charges, including positioning and repositioning
  • Leads airline negotiations on operational matters and ensures these agreements are implemented and honoured globally (Container Pivot Weight, PMC/PLA discussions, etc.)
  • Tracks the performance of partners, including leasing and operational support transactions
  • Identifies new business opportunities on Airline Headquarter level and develop joint initiatives with internal sales management teams
  • Conduct regular business reviews with partner airlines and prepare and monitor relevant key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain active relationships with key stakeholders in partner organizations, including regular on-site visits at the HQ level
  • Conduct training sessions for airline HQ, airline stations, and Ground Handling Agents (GHAs) based on local business needs
  • Lead and participate in SkyCell and Airline events within the region
  • Lead marketing efforts with newsletters and events planning and execution where needed
  • Act as an escalation point for commercial and operational issues with partner airlines, providing support through troubleshooting
  • Gain industry knowledge through close relations with senior management of airlines to uncover trends and market information
  • Lead the implementation of the global airline strategy and airlines onboarding


Requirements

What You'll Bring:

  • Commercial apprenticeship and/or master or bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of work experience, working for an airline or airline related field
  • Comprehend the full range of airline logistics services like airline lease, reverse logistics, network balancing, service AWB, cost optimization, etc
  • Strong Airline Network within the region
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English, every other language is a plus
  • Very good command of Microsoft Office
