  • Support museum visibility by assisting with copywriting and content needs for events, community programs, and cross-institutional projects.
  • Assist with staffing on-site and off-site museum and community events and programs.

Purpose

The Digital Content Specialist develops engaging written content that supports the Blanton Museum of Art’s exhibitions, programs, and strategic goals. This position is responsible for crafting high-quality copy across multiple channels—including email campaigns, blog posts, social media, ads, and print materials—while ensuring consistent voice, clarity, and alignment with the museum’s brand. The role also contributes to creative projects by assisting with exhibition titles, taglines, and marketing messaging.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with digital content best practices.
  • Work samples are required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in museums, cultural institutions, nonprofits, or higher education.
  • High degree of proficiency with digital tools and platforms.
  • Google Analytics certification.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Salary

$60,000 (firm)

Working Conditions

Standard Office Environment

Work Shift Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Occasional nights and weekends may be required for special events.

Employment Eligibility

Retirement Plan Eligibility
