The Hunt Library seeks a detail-oriented and technically skilled Digital Collections Specialist to manage and contribute to digitization and digital collections initiatives within Archives & Special Collections. This position will preserve and expand access to the library's unique collections by preparing materials for digitization, organizing and managing digital assets, creating and reviewing metadata, and supporting digital preservation and quality control practices.
This position offers an opportunity to apply existing library or cultural heritage experience while developing and expanding specialized skills in digital collections, digitization, and digital preservation. Demonstrated technical aptitude, responsive communication, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are highly valued. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with library staff, exercise sound judgment when managing projects and digital assets, follow established standards and workflows, and communicate proactively about project progress, questions, and challenges.
