Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Equipment Engineer to lead hands-on development and deployment of advanced manufacturing equipment for Adhesion & Assembly. This remote role focuses on execution, vendor partnerships, and scalable, production-ready solutions across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in industrial automation, robotics, and controls, with a track record of equipment integration and ability to travel up to 30% globally.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent with 8+ years experience.
  • Experience developing, integrating, or deploying industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong experience with industrial automation and robotics.
  • Working knowledge of PLC-based systems and equipment integration.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically/internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and validate advanced manufacturing equipment and automation solutions for Adhesion & Assembly.
  • Own execution of equipment development workstreams, including design collaboration and factory acceptance.
  • Collaborate with OEMs, system integrators, and automation suppliers.
  • Manage day-to-day technical engagement with vendors and ensure manufacturability.
  • Generate engineering docs, test plans, and validation reports.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support capability-building.
