Job summary

University of Oklahoma's Carl Albert Center seeks a Project Coordinator for the two-year Constitutional Foundations Archive project funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. The role will coordinate metadata creation, data gathering for reports, and supervision of student workers.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and at least 24 months in project management or related archival work; MLS preferred. Experience with ArchivesSpace, Omeka, MODS, and cloud servers is highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 24 months of project management or related experience.
  • 24 months of archival arrangement/records management experience.
  • Experience digitizing archival objects and creating digital surrogates.
  • Experience with cloud-based servers (AWS) for public access.
  • Experience with ArchivesSpace or similar collections-management tools.
  • Knowledge of metadata standards (DACS, EAD, PREMIS) and MODS.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Perl).

Responsibilities

  • Provide metadata creation and management support for grant-funded special collections.
  • Collect, compile, and deliver information for statistical and narrative reports.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate student workers.
  • Perform various duties to fulfill the position's function.
