Job summary

University of Oklahoma invites applications for a Project Coordinator with the Carl Albert Center to support the Constitutional Foundations Archive. The role oversees metadata creation, data reporting, and supervision of student workers on a two-year NEH-funded project.

The ideal candidate will hold an MLS or related advanced degree and have experience with archival workflows, digital objects, and public access tools such as ArchivesSpace and Omeka.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 24 months of project management or related experience.
  • Equivalency/Substitution: 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
  • MLS from an ALA-accredited library school or an advanced related degree.
  • 24 months of related experience in archival arrangement and/or records management.
  • Current museum, archive or library experience.
  • Experience with digitizing archival objects using scanning equipment and image editing software to create accessible digital surrogates.
  • Experience with ArchivesSpace.
  • Experience with metadata standards such as DACS, EAD, and PREMIS.

Responsibilities

  • Provides metadata creation and management support for a grant-funded special collections projects.
  • Collects, compiles, and delivers information and data for statistical and narrative reports.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate student workers.
  • Performs various duties as needed to fulfill the function of the position.
