Job summary

Essex County Council is recruiting an ICT Business Support and Digital Adoption Officer to join the ICT Team. The role splits between business support duties and driving digital adoption across the Council using Microsoft 365 and related technologies.

You will collaborate on business planning, maintain procedures and documentation, and support learning resources within the LMS. Hybrid working arrangements are available, with some home/office-based days and in-person meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in an ICT environment and supporting business support, service improvement or digital adoption.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 initiatives and related applications.
• Ability to liaise with suppliers and manage documentation.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide business support across the ICT service, including administration, planning, procedures and documentation.
• Drive the adoption of Microsoft 365 features (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Copilot, Power Platform) to support digital transformation.
• Coordinate digital learning resources in LMS and ensure accuracy for FOI responses.
• Liaise with third party ICT providers for training and service delivery.
• Support ICT management with budget monitoring and project delivery on time and to budget.
