Job summary

MarketStar is hiring a Digital Account Strategist to join our Ogden, UT team representing Reddit. You will manage existing advertiser relationships, drive ad spend growth, and leverage data to make strategic decisions.

The role requires strong sales skills, CRM usage, and a consultative selling approach. You will collaborate with internal MarketStar teams, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide market insights to enhance campaigns.

About The Digital Account Strategist - Reddit

MarketStar is seeking an Digital Account Strategist to join us in our Ogden, UT location representing Reddit. Reddit is one of the hottest social media names on the market, and you will be part of the rocket ship that created the “Reddit Effect”! Digital Account Strategist are responsible for working with existing advertisers and ensuring the success of those ad campaigns. They draw daily on both their skills in managing client relationships and utilizing the data provided to make strategic and thoughtful decisions. The right candidate will be instrumental in providing value both to Reddit and to the advertisers they support.

What Will You Do?

• Lead a customer outreach process that will include calls and emails with the intent of building and managing external customer relationships with continued account support
• Work with existing customers to build brand awareness and increase their usage and advertising spend on Reddit
• Use client provided and self- guided training resources to stay up to date on knowledge of the product
• Use data to manage, review and report on pipeline to manager each week, which includes a forecast and plan to achieve targets
• Attain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets
• Record customer interactions and engagement in CRM
• Build and manage both Internal MarketStar team and external client counterpart relationships
• Prepare and run regularly scheduled performance reviews monthly/quarterly/yearly with internal MarketStar peers and leadership
• Use data to drive planning and success
• Internally and externally provide customer sentiment insights including product feedback, key industry learnings, etc.

What Will You Need to Succeed?

• 1+ years of sales experience OR relevant experience in digital advertising, digital marketing, account management, or client-facing business development. A Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field may be considered in lieu of some experience requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to execute and articulate a structured sales methodology, including discovery, needs analysis, solution alignment, objection handling, and closing.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue goals, sales quotas, or other performance-based targets.
• Strong communication, rapport-building, presentation, and consultative selling skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers and influence outcomes.
• Experience conducting sales conversations and presentations virtually, including the use of web conferencing platforms and presentation materials.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a sales pipeline, leveraging CRM systems and data-driven strategies to maximize opportunities and drive results.
• Working knowledge of digital advertising concepts, audience targeting, campaign performance metrics, and how to translate business objectives into marketing solutions.
• Experience building, managing, retaining, or growing client relationships, with the ability to identify expansion opportunities and drive long-term value.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and standard business productivity tools.
• Demonstrated adaptability, coachability, and the ability to quickly learn new products, platforms, and industry concepts.

Compensation Range: $45,000 - $55,000 USD

The hourly pay range for this position is between $19.23 and $21.63 USD. This pay structure may also include a variable bonus component of $5,000 - $10,000 USD annually. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills.
