MarketStar in Ogden, UT is seeking an Account Executive to represent Reddit and own the full sales cycle from lead to close for small- to mid-size businesses. This role is based in Ogden with a hybrid work arrangement.

You will generate new business through cold calling, personalized emails, and other outreach, conduct discovery, develop tailored solutions, and manage CRM to exceed monthly and quarterly targets. Collaboration, adherence to policies, and ongoing coaching are expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of sales experience in a quota-carrying, inside sales, account management, or related role.
• Structured sales process knowledge: prospecting, discovery, solution development, objections, closing.
• Strong results orientation with measurable quotas or KPIs.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills for high-volume pipelines.
• CRM and advertising/reporting platforms experience.

About the Account Executive - Reddit MarketStar is seeking a Account Executive - (CP) to join us in our Ogden, UT location representing Reddit. In this role you will work with directly with businesses to proactively manage partnerships, ensuring that they are satisfied and that their business objectives are met using Reddit's advertising solutions. Reddit is one of the hottest social media names on the market, and you will be part of the rocket ship that created the Reddit Effect! As an Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle from lead to close, working with small to mid-size businesses. CPs draw daily on both their skills in managing client relationships and utilizing the data provided to make strategic and thoughtful decisions. The right candidate will be instrumental in providing value both to Reddit and to the advertisers they support.

What Will You Do?

• Own and manage a pipeline of small- and mid-sized business prospects from initial outreach through close and campaign launch.
• Generate new business through various channels, including cold calling, personalized email outreach, and other sales activities.
• Execute a structured sales process, including prospecting, discovery, solution development, objection handling, and closing.
• Conduct thorough discovery to understand client business needs, goals, challenges, target audiences, and advertising objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing advertisers while establishing yourself as a trusted business partner.
• Translate client needs and performance data into tailored Reddit advertising recommendations and solutions.
• Manage multiple sales opportunities simultaneously by prioritizing accounts, planning next steps, and maintaining consistent follow-up.
• Take ownership of achieving and exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity, opportunities, and client interactions within CRM systems.
• Participate in regular coaching sessions, call reviews, sales meetings, and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Apply Reddit advertising best practices, including recommended campaign durations, budget allocations, creative strategies, and measurement approaches.
• Adhere to advertising policies and guidelines, especially when working with sensitive or regulated verticals.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.

What Will You Need to Succeed?

• 1+ year of sales experience in a quota-carrying, business development, inside sales, account management, retail sales, or similar customer-facing selling environment.
• Working knowledge of a structured sales process, including prospecting, discovery, presenting solutions, handling objections, and closing opportunities.
• Strong results orientation with demonstrated experience achieving measurable goals, quotas, KPIs, or performance expectations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a high-volume pipeline and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Exceptional client relationship management skills and the ability to build trust with prospective and existing customers.
• Ability to maintain accurate CRM records and effectively utilize sales, advertising, and reporting platforms.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with confidence engaging clients through phone, email, and other outreach channels.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a fast-paced, performance-driven team environment.
• Strong resilience, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to rejection, changing priorities, and challenging sales situations.

Compensation Range: $45,000 - $55,000 USD

The hourly pay range for this position is between $19.23 and $21.63 USD.

This pay structure may also include a variable bonus component of $5,000 - $10,000 USD annually. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role's responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills.
